Photography Profile.
John started with a Univex roll film camera in about 1935, which cost about $10.00.  A year later he was given an Univex single 8mm movie camera, graduating to an Argus C-2 in 1940 and then to taking color movies with a double eight Kodak movie camera and B&W stills.  A couple of years later he was taking color slides.  In about 1939 he joined the "Wenatchee Cine Club" and established a home darkroom.  In occupied Japan, he bought some 35mm German cameras and set-up two darkrooms and afterwards brought home many prints and slides.  He continued on with documentary photography in the 50's and 60's using various 35mm and medium format cameras.  In 1972 he joined the "Odessa Camera Club" and remained a member for 10 years.  Moving to East Wenatchee he joined the club now known as the "Wenatchee Photography Club," and has been an active member for the last 20 years, including past presidency of the club.  Lately, he has operated the "Custom Black and White Photo Lab" for several years.  All in all, John has been active in photography for 67 years.
